Personal Kanban - psychology and effectivity

Biography

Working in agile teams at Cegeka for over 7 years, Ward gathered insights in eXtreme Programming, Scrum and Kanban. The last 4 years Ward acted mainly as an agile project manager and change agent in various projects. To manage his personal work (both within and outside the company), the last 3 years he's been using the Personal Kanban tool to work more effectively and focus on what matters most. This content has already been presented at internal Cegeka Knowledge Sharing Meetings for an audience of 40+ attendees.

Description

Using Kanban boards for teams is getting more popular within agile companies. But you can use the same advantages when you are working alone, whether it is at a personal project or flying solo. Where productivity very often focuses on doing more, Personal Kanban is about choosing the right work at the right time. I’ll show some examples of boards I used in the past and more importantly: explain the psychology that explains why Kanban works. Afterwards, there is some time reserved for Q&A
